GROW Open Garden-Picking and Pickling

Bountiful summer and fall harvests provide the opportunity for students to explore the importance of food preservation. Pickling jars will be sent home for the entire family to enjoy!

Join GROW for Open Gardens this summer! Each week from June 11th to August 8th we will host Open Garden events at rotating school garden locations on Tuesdays from 9am to 11am and at Kane Street Community Garden on Thursdays from 4 to 6 pm.  Bountiful summer and fall harvests provide the opportunity for students to explore the importance of food preservation. By exploring preservation methods, such as pickling, kids will appreciate the different ways to enjoy some of their favorite veggies and fruits. Pickling jars will be sent home for the entire family to enjoy!
